Ray joined HS-6 in early 1959 as an AT Striker and separated from active duty January 30, 1962, as an AT-2.  He received his final discharge on March 18, 1964, as an AX-2.

Ray updates us with the following:

bullet Private Pilot's license
bullet Schooling: MBA
bullet Married my high school sweetheart in August '62 and we are still together. Squadronmate Wes Garner was our best man. We have six kids, four boys followed by 2 girls.
bullet I worked in electronics at Convair (six months), General Atomic (seven and one half years) and Solar Turbines (seventeen years) all in San Diego. While at Solar I moved into computers.
bullet Upon leaving Solar I bought a small cattle ranch in Oregon and went to work at Volt Delta Resources (fifteen years). While at Delta I designed the WIN database system used by PacBell for Directory Assistance.
bullet I left Delta as a Technical Director and moved onto consulting. After several years I moved home and became a full time rancher.
Ray on his ranch circa 2006. He gave up smoking in 2009 after surviving a major heart attack.
