Corpus Christi warmly welcomed the Raunchy Redskins - we were greeted at the airport by a 7' tall banner welcoming us to Corpus and the Mayor issued a proclamation declaring April 8th as Raunchy Redskins Reunion Day. In addition to the welcome banner and the mayor's proclamation, Ed and Judy Marsyla went "above and beyond" by setting up local radio and press coverage.

Plan of the Day - schedule of events for our third reunion

Welcome Party - the geezers gather!

HS-6 Rescue Symposium - noted Combat SAR authority and author Tom Phillips conducted a half-day seminar on CSAR operations during the Viet Nam war to provide our loved ones with a better understanding of just what we did during those long deployments. He also moderated a discussion about the rescues of Rick Adams and Tiff Hawks by HS-6 crews.

Reunion Banquet - our reunion banquet aboard the USS Lexington (CVT-16) featured great friends, good memories, a real Texas BBQ, fun, awards and recognitions.

Combat Aircrew Wings - once again we were able to present the prestigious Combat Air Wings to several of our Air Crewmen for their outstanding service in Vietnam. Approval for the awarding of Combat Aircrew Wings came about through the efforts of Captain Jeff Wiant USN (Ret.) and RADM Bill Terry USN (Ret.) and is a most fitting tribute to those crewmen that went in harms way on many occasions as a matter of routine. Not all rescue efforts were successful for the potential rescuee or the crew. A big BZ to Phil Poisson for processing the CAW affidavits for us.

NAS Corpus Christi Air Show - the Blue Angels were scheduled to perform.

Saturday evening featured a Farewell Party in the Admin Suite and then on Sunday morning a Brunch before we sadly said our goodbyes until the next reunion.
